Abstract
Objective: To find out the situation and evaluate the effective of preventive treatment the transmission of HIV from mother to child. Subjects and Method: Include all the records of hiv-infected women which hospitalized and deliveredand their babies during the 3,5-year period from 1/2011 to 5/2014 were reviewed. Results: The incidence of HIV-infected women was 0,07%. The incidence of HIV-infected babies from their motherswas 13,6%. Mean women age 26,68 ± 3,05 yrs, 68,2% women in rural, unstable career 77,3%, checking pregnancy not enought 36,4%, hospitalize with labor 63,6%, mean gestational age 38,23 ± 1,34yrs. Among HIV-infected children: 0% cesarean delivery, vaginal delivery 33,3%, difficutl delivery 66,7%; using ARV before 28 weeks 0%, after 28 weeks 33,3% and using in labor <4 hours 66,7%; 33,3% breastfed. Asphyxia after birth 13,6%, low birth weight 22,7% and 100% of infants who were given NVP for 4-6 weeks after birth. Conclusion: Treatment of preventing the transmission of HIV from mother to child was difficult because of many risk factors for antiretroviral therapy.
