Abstract

The study was performed on 46 patients diagnosed with recurrent endometriomas at the Department of OB/GYN, Hue Central Hospital from 01/2011 to 08/2013 with the objectives for their clinical and subclinical characteristics. Results showed that dysmenorrhea has the highest percentage: 89.1%, infertility rate is 26.1%, the most common physical symptom is uterine adhesions (60.9%), grade III - IV according to AFS have the high percentages (37.0% and 34.8%) and having correlation between dysmenorrhea and irregular pelvic pain with adhesions (p < 0.05). Subclinical characteristics showed that levels of CA - 125 increase in the progressive period of endometrial tumor and the rate of tumor located on the left (63.1%) is larger than on the right (36.9%) on ultrasound (p < 0.05).
