Abstract

Research aims: Initial assessment of predictive condition neonatal asphyxia congenital diaphragmatic hernia by lung to head ratio. Materials and Methods: Women who visit, ultrasound diagnosis of congenital diaphragmatic hernia in prenatal diagnosis center of Hospital National of Gynecology and Obstetric from 2008 to 2014 year. Using the method described retrospective and prospective. Diagnosis of congenital diaphragmatic hernia by ultrasound with stomach images in the left chest fetal, lung to head ratio is measured by the method of Merkus (1996), the results are used in the calculation of <1, 1 to 1.3, and > 1.3. Results: The study conducted on a total of 133 women with congenital diaphragmatic hernia. Gestational age was 28.6 weeks detection, mostly left diaphragmatic hernia (97%), the rate of pregnancy is stopped 45.1%, with 35 cases being monitored until the birth, which 22 cases with lung to head ratio pregnancy outcome of these cases is the lung to head ratio <1 survival is 0%, the lung to head ratio from 1 to 1.3 survival rate was 16.7% and the lung to head ratio> 1.3 survival rate was 83.3%. Conclusion: The lung to head ratio perfectly coordinated head can be used to predict of the fetus and the child’s ability to survive after birth. Lung to head ratio greater survivability better
