Abstract

Objective: Evaluating the antenatal care of pregnant women at birth in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Hue Central Hospital Methods: Cross-sectional descriptive study for 200 pregnant women at birth in the OB/GYN Department at Hue Central Hospital from January to March 2015. Results: 95% of women are well aware of the attending antenatal clinics, 44.5% of women have not known the importance of tetanus vaccination yet. 29% women have interested in and focused on nutrition during pregnancy. 100% of women have not used any drugs during pregnancy. 82% of women have worked less than usual during prenatal time. 35% of women had to work until birth. Conclusion: Needing to strengthen advising women about pregnancy care management, nutrition, the importance of rest before the birth, the working mode during pregnancy. Providing prenatal care service with good quality, the necessary knowledge for pregnant women so that they could care for themselves, maintaining and protecting the mother and child health.
