Abstract

Objective: Determining rate of HPV types in female health workers of the National Hospital of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Materials and Method: Cross-sectional descriptive research conducted on 411 health officers aging from 30-55 age old. The research time frame was from September to Octomber 2014 via HPV-DNA test using Cobas ® 4800 system.

Results: The mean age was 41.7, age group tested highestly was 40-49 (43.8%), age group with highest infection rate was 30-39 (65%). The rate of HPV infection was 9.73%, HPV infection rate with typ 16 was 23.26%, with typ 18 was 13.9% and with other 12 high risk types was 62.79%. The rate of women infected only one type of HPV was the highest (92%).

Conclusion: Infected rate of high risk HPV types among woman who are working at the National Hospital of Obstetrics and Gynecology is 9.73%.
