Abstract
Objectves: Evaluating serum Carcinoma Antigen 125 level in endometrosis patients before and after treatments by ElectroChemiluminescence ImmunoAssay.
Materials and Methods: Serum CA125 level was measured by ElectroChemiluminescence ImmunoAssay (ECLIA) on 34 endometrosis patients in two stages: before and after treatments two months.
Results: Serum CA-125 concentration was associated with statistically significant stages of endometrosis. The average serum CA-125 level after treatment is 23.65 ± 9.0 U / ml, had a statistically significant decrease versus 78.28 ± 33.17 U / ml before treatment ( p < 0,05 ).
Conclusion: The mean serum CA-125 level in patients with endometriosis is 78.28 ± 33.17 U/ ml. The mean serum CA-125 level after treatment surgery and/or medical treatment decreases significantly versus before treatment.
