Comment about the role of ultrasound and beta hCG serum to diagnosis hydatidiform in the National Hospital of Obstetric and Gynecology

Abstract

Objectives: determine the rate of hydatidiform in pregnacies; comment about the role of ultrasound, and beta hCG of serum to diagnosis hydatidiform.

Methods: cross study.

Subjects: all patient’hydatidiform treated at the National Hospital of Obstetric and Gyneology in 2017.

Results: the rate of hydatidiform in pregnacies was 1,1%. Complete hydatidiform mole were 64.8%; partial hydatidiform mole were 35.2% of the total number of hydatidiform moles. Sensitivity of ultrasound to diagnosis hydatidiform was 95%; specificity was 14%. After ultrasound screenning, the threshold for β-hCG for serum testing is 200000 IU/L with a specificity of 99%.
