Abstract
Choriocarcinoma is the most invasive and malignant form in the trophoblastic disease, can occur in many different age groups, the incidence is increased in patients > 40 years old. Usually develops from malignancy of the hydatidiform mole, rarely after a normal pregnancy, miscarriage, or ectopic pregnancy. The most common site is in the uterus, although rare, it can be found in the ovaries, fallopian tubes, vagina, cervix or pelvis. A 37-year-old patient, after evacuation of a malignant hydatidiform mole, developed complications of choriocarcinoma in the uterus with metastases in the cervix. The patient underwent total hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy, had good postoperative progress, and received subsequent adjuvant chemotherapy.
