Abstract

This is a cross-sectional study on 92 twin pregnancies at Hai Phong Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital from 01/01/2019 to 31/05/2020. In this study, the cut – off value of cervical length to prognostic the risk of preterm birth before 37 weeks was shorter 33.5 mm. Twin pregnancies with CL < 33.5 mm had the risk of preterm birth four times higher than CL ≥ 33.5 mm with AUC of 0.64, sensitivity of 47.1%, specificity of 82.8%. The group of woman with spon taneous preterm birth had twenty times higher a risk of current preterm birth before 37 weeks (p < 0.05). The term of preterm birth prevention, the average gestational age was 35.76 ± 3.25 weeks, of which the group ≥ 37 weeks, < 28 weeks and 34 – 37 weeks were 63.1%, 5.4% and 23.9%. The use of prevention reduced the risk of preterm birth by 83.6% (p < 0.05). There was no difference in the efficacy of preventing preterm birth between different methods as well as using one method and multi methods in twin pregnancy.
