Abstract
Introduction: Ovarian stimulation regimes have been modified to a shorter duration of stimulation, fewer injections and reduced ovarian hyperstimulation rate. Corifollitropin alfa has sustained FSH activity and is able to replace a week of daily injections with an one time injection, reducing physical stress for IVF patients. Objective: Investigate the efficacy and safety of corifollitropin alfa for ovarian stimulation in IVF. Methods: Ovarian stimulation was performed using GnRH antagonist protocol. Corifollitropin alfa was injected on day 2 of the cycle. GnRH antagonist 0,25mg was started from day 5 after the corifollitropin alfa injection. When there were at least 2 follicles ≥ 17mm, hCG was administered. If patients had more than 20 developing follicles, hCG was replaced by GnRH agonist. Oocyte pick-up was done 36 hours after hCG injection. Embryo transfer was on day 2. Results: There were 57 oocyte donors and 26 IVF patients who had corifollitropin alfa used for ovarian stimulation. The mean number of oocytes retrieved was 14-16 and the mean number of embryos was 9. All cycles had extra embryos suitable for freezing. The pregnancy rate was 37.5% and implantation rate was 18-23%. There was one case of mild ovarian hyperstimulation. Conclusion: Corifollitropin alfa is effective, safe and convenient for patients undergoing ovarian stimulation for IVF.Tạp chí sẽ lưu giữ bản quyền phân phối, giao dịch đối với tất cả các bản thảo, bản toàn văn của bài báo đăng trên hệ thống.
