Abstract
Objective: Assessment of changes ectopic pregnancy patients who were treated failure by methotrexate.
Subjects: Selective criteria: 185 patients diagnosed ectopic pregnancy with unruptured, treated by methotrexate at the National Hospital of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2012. Exclusion: The patients were diagnosed cervical ectopic pregnancy, cesarean scar ectopic pregnancy. The patients were diagnosed pregnantindicated treatment by methotrexate at the National Hospital of Obstetrics and Gynecology, but not ectopic pregnancy. Study method: retrospective description.
Result: After 1 week treatment, the rate of patients with βhCG reduction ≥ 30% is higher than the group of patients with βhCG reduction <30% or βhCG increase. In the failure group: the rate of ectopic pregnancy becames cystic adenoma-hematoma of ectopic is 27.8%; the rate of medical treatment discontinuation due to severe abdominal pain is 27.8%; rupture ectopic pregnancy is 22.2%; βhCG increase or having fetal heartbeat is 11.1%. Three patients with βhCG < 1000 treatment failure, 1 patient ≥ 5000 (βhCG = 6680 UI/l). The others have βhCG spread between 1000 - 5000 UI /l.
Conclusion: In the failure group: the rate of ectopic pregnancy becames cystic adenomahematoma of ectopic is 27.8%; the rate of medical treatment discontinuation due to severe abdominal pain is 27.8%; rupture ectopic pregnancy is 22.2%; βhCG increase or having fetal heartbeat is 11.1%.
