Tóm tắt

Các tác dụng phụ liên quan đến sự thiếu hụt estrogen của các liệu pháp điều trị ung thư hoặc của sự mãn kinh sớm ở những người có tiền căn ung thư thường được điều trị bằng estrogen đường toàn thân và đặt âm đạo trong dân số nói chung. Tuy nhiên, trong số những người có tiền sử ung thư nhạy cảm với hormone, vẫn còn chưa chắc chắn về sự an toàn của liệu pháp dựa trên hormone. Do đó, tổng quan này nhằm mục đích đánh giá tính an toàn và hiệu quả của các phương pháp điều trị bằng hormone cũng như các phương thức điều trị không dùng hormone. Các phương pháp điều trị không dùng hormone là chỉ định đầu tay cho tất cả bệnh nhân, tuy nhiên các bác sĩ cần phối hợp và thử nghiệm nhiều phương pháp để tìm ra phương pháp phù hợp nhất với từng bệnh nhân. Các liệu pháp sử dụng hormone liên quan estrogen và testosterone, mặc dù còn những quan ngại về vấn đề tái phát ung thư, tuy nhiên các nghiên cứu cho đến thời điểm hiện tại không cho thấy điều đó. Các phương pháp điều trị mới bao gồm ospemifene, laser tỏ ra hiệu quả, tuy nhiên cần nhiều nghiên cứu hơn để chứng minh tính hiệu quả lâu dài.
